Executive Manager - Project Development

In this role, the candidate will lead the project development lifecycle, from initial concept through to successful execution working closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure the seamless delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead projects in the development, and be part of the end-to-end development process for projects, from inception to construction start, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality objectives.

2. Help identify potential sites for development, conduct feasibility studies, and collaborate with the technical, legal, and financial teams to evaluate and secure land rights over suitable properties. Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential sites, including zoning, environmental assessments, permitting requirements, and utility infrastructure availability.

3. Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including landowners, real estate brokers, government agencies, utilities and optic fiber providers, to facilitate smooth project execution, and coordinate with the strategy team on relationships with government agencies.

4. Be part of the preparation and submission of permit applications, working closely with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals and permits.

5. Collaborate with internal teams, such as engineering, design, and construction, to develop and refine project requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives, industry best practices, and customer requirements.

6. Work in cooperation with other teams (including technical, financial, legal), on the tendering and selection process for contractors, consultants, and vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to quality standards.

7. Evaluate and implement sustainable energy solutions, such as renewable energy sources and energy-efficient technologies, to optimize power consumption and reduce environmental impact.

8. Evaluate and implement sustainable cooling solutions, to optimize power and water consumption and reduce environmental impact.

9. Procure optic fiber connections, in cooperation with the technical team

10. Manage the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and any other ESG requirements for a project.

11. Coordinate with the technical, sales, and financial teams to build the assumptions for the financial model.

12. Coordinate with the financial team with respect to building the financial model and with respect to the financing of the projects.

13. Coordinate with the strategy team on stakeholder management.

14. Work and coordinate with co-developers / co-shareholders during the development phase.

15. Help in the preparation of project budgets, track expenses, and optimize costs throughout the development process.

16. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in development, incorporating innovative solutions into project strategies and processes.

Experience, Qualification & Skill Sets:

Experience:

3 – 10 years (depending on position) of experience in project development, management, or a related field. Experience in the data center industry is a plus but not mandatory

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business, Information Technology) or equivalent work experience.
