Our client is a global company specializing in sustainable water management solutions. They are investors, developers, and operators of water and wastewater infrastructure, particularly in the context of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs)

We are seeking a technically strong and hands-on Head of Project Finance to lead the clients growing project finance team based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a rich project finance background within the infrastructure sector (preferably water or power), with proven experience in end-to-end deal execution, financial modelling, stakeholder coordination, and bank negotiations across emerging markets. This is a leadership role aimed at upgrading the overall financial capability of the team, especially in modelling and transaction execution

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the full project finance cycle from deal structuring to financial close for infrastructure and water-related PPP/BOOT projects.
  • Act as the primary liaison with banks, DFIs, and financial advisors to negotiate financing terms, term sheets, and bank documentation.
  • Oversee and strengthen in-house financial modelling capabilities and ensure consistency and accuracy across all project models.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments including Business Development, Technical, Legal, and Corporate Finance teams.
  • Support bid teams during tenders by coordinating financial submissions, assumptions, and risk allocation.
  • Mentor and upgrade the existing PF team's capabilities, with a focus on technical skills and commercial insight.
  • Ensure bankability of projects through robust risk assessments, due diligence coordination, and proactive structuring.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced financial modelling (Excel-based, DCF, IRR, scenario analysis)
  • Bankability analysis and debt structuring
  • Contractual understanding of PPAs, IWPs, BOOT structures
  • Familiarity with multilateral/DFI funding requirements

Education Qualification & Experience:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering; preference for advanced degrees such as MBA, CA, or CFA.

Experience:

10–15 years of experience in project finance with developers/investors/funds, international banks, or similar financial advisory firms

Sector Focus:

Strong exposure to water, wastewater, or power (IPP/IWPs/ISTPs/IWTPs).

Geographic Experience:

Proven experience in the Middle East, GCC, Africa, or CIS markets is essential.
