Location: Ras Al- Khaimah (RAK) / Al Dhaid (Sharjah)

Our client is a leading UAE developer with large-scale infrastructure development capability.

The HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Operation Engineer will be responsible for ensuring a company's operations are safe for employees and the environment, and compliant with all relevant regulations. He will perform risk assessments, implement safety procedures, conduct site inspections, manage incidents, and develop training programs to create a secure and sustainable workplace.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Risk management: Conduct detailed risk assessments to identify hazards and implement engineering and procedural controls to mitigate them.
  • Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations, and coordinate with regulatory authorities.
  • Policy implementation: Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and standards. This includes managing safety documentation and ensuring it is followed.
  • Audits and inspections: Perform regular site and system audits to identify potential hazards and evaluate the effectiveness of current safety practices.
  • Incident management: Investigate safety and environmental incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Emergency preparedness: Develop and manage emergency response plans and coordinate crisis management efforts.
  • Training and awareness: Train employees on safe working practices, emergency procedures, and their roles in maintaining a safe environment.
  • Project support: Review safety aspects of contractor bid documents and evaluate contractor safety programs.
  • Equipment and materials: Ensure new and existing plant equipment and personal protective clothing are suitable for use from a safety viewpoint.
