Role: Manager, Network Planning -Water
Reports to: Senior Manager Network Planning -Water
Location: Ajman/ Dubai
Our client is a leading UAE developer with large-scale infrastructure development capability.
To ensure that water transmission & distribution networks are effectively planned and managed to meet current and future demands. This role requires a combination of strategic planning, technical expertise, project management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the efficient and sustainable operation of water infrastructure.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for the expansion, optimization, and maintenance of water distribution networks.
- Assess and forecast future water demand to ensure that network capacity and infrastructure can meet evolving needs.
- Oversee the design and layout of water distribution systems, including pipelines, pumping stations, storage facilities, and treatment plants.
- Implement strategies to optimize network performance, including pressure management, flow optimization, and leakage reduction.
- Oversee the network models and simulations to analyze and predict network performance, including flow, pressure, and water quality.
- Analyze data related to water usage, system performance, and infrastructure conditions to support planning and decision-making.
- Work with engineers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specified standards.
- Ensure that network planning and development activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and environmental requirements.
- Oversee the process for obtaining necessary permits and approvals for network projects.
- Monitor the performance of water transmission & distribution networks to ensure they operate efficiently and meet service standards.
- Ensure preparation and implementation of the annual operational plan for Business Units/Department/Section in accordance with the client's strategic plan.
- Ensure implementation of operational performance indicators.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Environmental), Water Resource Management, or a related field is generally required. Master's Degree in a related field is preferred.
- Min 6-10 yrs of experience in network planning, infrastructure management, or a related field, with a focus on water distribution systems.
- Highly analytical skills
- Strong understanding of water distribution systems, hydraulic modeling, and network optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and environmental requirements related to water network planning and development.
