Manager of Excellence
Role: Manager of Excellence ( Chief People Officer)

Location: Ajman/ Dubai
Our Client is a leading UAE utility, which owns and operates power and water transmission and distribution assets.
Main Purpose of Role
To lead and institutionalize a culture of excellence across the organization by developing, implementing, and continuously enhancing excellence frameworks, models, and award strategies. This role ensures alignment with national and global excellence standards, supporting the organization's ambition to be recognized for its innovative and value-driven practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Excellence Enablement
- Lead the development and implementation of Organization's Excellence Strategy in line with UAE government directions and global best practices.
- Translate excellence models into actionable programs that support the organization's transformation goals.
- Drive alignment across Sectors\ departments by embedding excellence principles into core operations, processes, and decision-making.
2. Excellence Model Implementation & Integration:
- Oversee the deployment of excellence models (e.g., EFQM, Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award, etc.) across the organization.
- Guide departments through self-assessments, gap analyses, and improvement planning to elevate maturity levels.
- Integrate excellence criteria within performance measurement and operational frameworks.
3. National Awards & Recognition
- Lead the preparation and participation in local, regional, and international excellence awards.
- Manage the end-to-end award cycle—assessments, documentation, coordination, and follow-up with external assessors.
- Position the Organization as a role model in innovation, sustainability, and service excellence
4. Internal Capability Building
- Design and roll out awareness sessions, training programs, and engagement campaigns to strengthen internal understanding of excellence frameworks.
- Act as an internal advisor and coach to teams on excellence-related tools, models, and methodologies.
- Champion recognition initiatives that highlight excellence in practice.
5. Governance & Reporting
- Develop dashboards and KPIs to monitor the progress and impact of excellence initiatives
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for executive leadership on organizational excellence performance
- Ensure governance and compliance with national excellence standards and internal policies.
6. Culture of Continuous Improvement
- Promote a mindset of continuous development and improvement at all levels of the organization.
- Collaborate with business units to identify, document, and share internal best practices.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives that enhance service delivery, operational efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Education
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Organizational Development, Industrial Engineering, or related field (master's degree preferred).
2. Experience:
- 8+ years of experience - Masters Degree
- 10+ years of experience - Bachelors Degree
3. Technical Skills:
- Experience in performance, strategy, or excellence functions, with demonstrated experience leading organizational excellence programs
- Strong knowledge of excellence frameworks, performance models, and award criteria
4. Soft Skills
- Strategic and analytical thinking with high attention to detail
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage change
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
